Mission:

Perform the analysis of electroencephalographic (EEG) signals from transcranial magnetic neurostimulation (TMS) in patients with schizophrenia.


Functions to be developed:

  • • Filter EEG signals from transcranial magnetic neurostimulation.
  • • Analyze brain connectivity.
  • • Calculate statistical results and compare populations of schizophrenics, bipolar disorder and controls.
  • • Prepare reports and scientific articles.

Skills / Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • • Filtering of neurological signals.
  • • Connectivity techniques between electroencephalographic signals.
  • • Studies of neurological diseases.
  • • Software: MatLab, Phyton, R or similar.

Specific Requirements

Knowledge:

  • • Biomedical signal processing: EEG.
  • • Brain connectivity.
  • • Graph theory.

Professional Experience:

  • • Participation in multidisciplinary teams with doctors and engineers.
  • • Have carried out experiments with TMS and recording of EEG signals.
  • • Stays in foreign research centers with expertise in EEG analysis.
  • • Experience in functions similar to those described will be valued, specifically in the development of research activities, both in the university and industrial environment.

It will be assessed:

  • • Authorship of scientific articles in English.
