We are seeking candidates to apply for three Sara Borrell Postdoctoral Fellowships from the Carlos III Health Institute in the upcoming AES-LEIS 2026 call for proposals. These fellows will join the following research groups at the Galicia Sur Health Research Institute, located at the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital (Vigo Health Area):

Skills/Qualifications

  • • Doctorate in Health Sciences (Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, etc.).

Specific Requirements

  • • Obtain a doctorate, defined as the date of defense and approval of the doctoral thesis, after January 1, 2022 (extensions apply in cases of maternity/paternity leave, temporary incapacity due to illness or accident, and care for dependent persons).

Benefits

  • • Application for the Sara Borrell contracts, a 3-year contract with a gross salary of €30,000 per year for the first two years and €35,000 for the third year.
  • • Integration into multidisciplinary research groups (basic researchers, clinicians from various specialties, and pharmacists) with research lines associated with several funded projects in:
    • 1. Basic-Translational Research.
    • 2. Clinical Research.
    • 3. Technological Innovation in Health.

Eligibility criteria

  • • Research activity: publications, R&D projects, patents, conference participation, etc.
  • • Experience in molecular biology and immunology techniques and in animal models.
  • • Postdoctoral research abroad.
