Applications are open for 1 (one) Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship(s), within the framework of project TULIPS - Demonstrating Lower Polluting Solutions for Sustainable Airports across Europe (1801P.01128.1.01) - IST-ID, financed by European funds through the Horizon 2020


Workplan: …

  • • Assessment of long-term EU and national aviation decarbonisation scenarios (2030–2050) and integration of these into assessment of TULIPS demonstrations.
  • • Performance assessment of airports and scalability of demos.
  • • Contribute to multistage roadmaps for airport decarbonization.
  • • Contribute to the policy definition that links demonstrations with EU policy, Technological readiness and investment requirement.
  • • Identification and recommendation of policy instruments that support broad deployment of zero-emission airport operations, and sustainable solutions at European scale.

Skills/Qualifications

Admission Requirements:

  • • to hold a PhD degree obtained in the 3 years previously to the submission of the fellowship application;
  • • to have carried out the research work that led to the PhD degree in a different entity from the host institution of the fellowship;
  • • Not to exceed, with this fellowship contract, including the possible renovations, an accumulated period of 3 years in this type of fellowship, continuously or with interruptions;
  • • Not to have previously held a post-doctoral fellowship from IST-ID

Benefits

  • • Monthly maintenance allowance: the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is €1.851,00, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.

Selection process

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following:

  • • Curriculum Evaluation (60%) - Preferably degree on Aeronautical Engineering with post graduation in Economics, and PhD in Transport Systems. Preferably research Experience in Airport Performance and Decarbonization.
  • • Individual Interview (20%)
  • • English Proficiency (20%)
