Call is open for the award of 1 (one) Post-Doc Research Fellowship (BIPD) at UNINOVA - Institute for the Development of New Technologies within the scope of the project PRR TEC4GREEN – 02/C05-i01.01/2022.PC644948561-00000052– Agenda Mobilizadora Verde Tec4Green, funded by the PRR, for the development of R&D activities to be carried out by PhD researchers, under the following conditions:

Recipient admission requirements /Profile:

1. • PhD in areas related to Earth Sciences Engineering, finished less than 3 (three) years ago (mandatory).
2. • Not exceed, with the conclusion of the scholarship contract in question, including possible renewals, an accumulated period of 3 (three) years in this type of scholarship, consecutive or interpolated.
3. • Proven knowledge in:
   1. - Data Science (Python)
   2. - Machine Learning (Python)
   3. - Remote Sensing
   4. - Internet of Things (Hardware, Node-red, JavaScript)
   5. - Satellite Image Processing
   6. - R&D and scientific dissemination
4. • Experienced in Portuguese/European research projects, minimum 3 years (Mandatory).
5. • Experience in Portuguese /European project management (Preferential).
6. • Experience in organizing meetings and conferences of Portuguese/European projects (Mandatory).
7. • Residence in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon. (Mandatory)
8. • Fluent in English and Portuguese, written and spoken (Mandatory).
9. • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Candidates who have obtained the degree abroad must have the degree recognized in Portugal, pursuant to Decree-Law No. 66/2018 of August 16th.

Work plan: The candidate will develop research work performing the following tasks with the following objectives:

• Support the organization and participation in Project Meetings / events.

• Work on the following project tasks from WP4 (Soluções digitais e de precisão na agricultura):

o T1 – Monitoring System

o T2 – Data Processing and Land Parcel Operationalisation

Applicable legislation and regulations: Statute of the Scientific Research Grantee, approved by Law No. 40/2004 of August 18, amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 202/2012, of August 27 and amended by Decree-Law No. 233/2012 of 29 October, Law No. 12/2013 of January 29 and Decree-Law No. 123/2019 of August 28.

It is subsidiarily applicable the Regulation of UNINOVA Research Grants, approved by deliberation of the Board of Directors of the FCT- Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, in the meeting of March 2 of 2022.

Duration of the grant: The grant will have the expected duration of 5 (five) months, possibly renewable within the duration of the project, provided that it does not exceed the period referred to in point (b) of the admission requirements and is scheduled to start in February 2026.
