We are looking for a reliable, conscientious, self-reliant postdoctoral researcher interested in working in the field of experimental phycology (cultivation experiments, bioprospection, basic biochemical analyses etc.) within the running project Biocirkl. We prefer candidates with technical skills able to develop various algal cultivation techniques and up-scale.


Candidates will be expected to produce peer-reviewed publications in high impact international journals and present their results at international conferences.


The position offer is limited to one year, with possible prolongation to another year. Candidates are encouraged to secure their own future project funding and potentially stay with us beyond the initial funding period.

Skills/Qualifications

  • • Ph.D. or equivalent in relevant fields
  • • high-quality research record
  • • experience in applied or experimental phycology
  • • excellent English
  • • excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude

Benefits

  • • part-time employment (0.2, i.e. 8 hours / week)
  • • salary of CZK 8,000 per month
  • • flexible working hours, 25 days of paid vacation, 5 sick days (when working full-time)
