Skills/Qualifications

• • Solid knowledge in conventional microbiology: In-depth understanding of bacterial growth and resistance mechanisms, with hands-on experience handling various bacterial species under sterile conditions.
• • Advanced proficiency in molecular biology techniques: Proven experience in genetic manipulation of bacteria, including the creation of mutants in recalcitrant strains, as well as expertise in methods such as transformation and conjugation. Demonstrated ability to design, construct, and utilize plasmids for gene expression and functional studies in bacteria, including troubleshooting and optimization of cloning strategies.
• • Evidence of scientific autonomy and collaborative spirit: Ability to independently plan and execute experiments, critically analyse data, contribute to the writing and execution of scientific projects, and effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic laboratory environment.
• • Practical experience in genomics techniques will be valued: Including next-generation sequencing, bioinformatic data processing, use of R, among others.

Specific Requirements

• Academic degree: Doctorate in Microbiology, Molecular Biology or similars, obtained within the last 3 years.
