The candidate will participate in the research projects and agreements ongoing on the group and collaborate in the design and presentation of new projects. In particular, the following will be part of the day-to-day activities attached to this position: - Genome-wide analysis of whole-genome and transcriptomics data from livestock animals in relation to productive data - Imputation of genotypes - Analysis of microbiome data - Lab procedures (isolation of DNA and RNA from diverse animal sources; validation of results by PCR and qPCR analysis) - Presentation of results at conferences and preparation of scientific manuscripts

Skills/Qualifications

  • • PhD in livestock breeding and genetics

Specific Requirements

  • • Experience in genome-wide association analysis
  • • Experience in microbiome analysis
  • • Good knowledge of English Language
  • • Track record in scientific publications
