The announced position corresponds to the Permanent Lecturer (PPL: Profesor Permanente Laboral) in the area of Sociology, assigned to the Department of Psychology, Sociology and Social Work. One position is offered (Competition No. 2601/9522; RPT Code: 1347756002).

Essential requirements:

• • Spanish language proficiency at a minimum C1 level
• • Degree (Bachelor’s/Master’s or equivalent) officially recognized or validated by the Spanish Ministry of Education
• • ⁠ANECA accreditation is required.

The selected candidate will carry out teaching and research activities in subjects assigned to the area of knowledge, specifically:

• • Social and Cultural Anthropology (Course code: 4662, 2nd year, Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, 6 ECTS).
• • Social Structure and Change (Course code: 46669, 2nd year, Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, 6 ECTS).

Additionally, the candidate will be expected to develop research activities within the following lines:

• • Migrations, diasporas, interethnic relations, and social change. The position is classified under UNESCO code 6399 (Sociology of Migrations).

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (Licenciatura/Grado) and a Master’s Degree in the field of Sociology. Candidates must also have completed a doctoral program and hold a PhD with a doctoral thesis in a field related to the area of the position.
