Specific Requirements

• • Working experience in a scientific research laboratory
• • Proficiency in the application of microbiological and molecular techniques
• • Active participation in scientific research activities, including published scientific papers and presentations at scientific conferences

Selection process

• Documentation that must be attached to application (in PDF format): CV, evidence of meeting the requirements.
• Applications may be submitted by persons of both sexes (Article 13(2) of the Gender Equality Act (official gazette of the Republic of Croatia “NN” no. 82/08, 69/17).
• By applying, the candidate gives consent for all their personal data contained in the application documents to be collected and processed for the purpose of conducting the application process in accordance with the regulations governing the protection of personal data.
• Candidates entitled to priority employment under special regulations must invoke this right in their application and enclose all evidence required by the special regulations for exercising this right. Such candidates shall receive priority in employment compared to other candidates under equal conditions exclusively. Candidates entitled to priority employment under the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Family Members (list of evidence for exercising the right to priority employment – ZOHBDR 2021.pdf (gov.hr)) and the Act on Civilian Homeland War Victims (list of evidence for exercising the right to priority employment – Zakon o civilnim stradalnicima iz DR.pdf (gov.hr)) must invoke this right in their application and enclose evidence of meeting these conditions.
• Candidates whose mother tongue is not Croatian must submit proof of Croatian language proficiency (B2 level) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Candidates educated outside the Republic of Croatia must submit a decision on the recognition of a foreign higher education qualification or proof that the recognition procedure has been initiated.
• Prior to making a decision, the Faculty reserves the right to verify the knowledge and skills by testing and/or interviewing the candidates who submit a timely and orderly application and meet the formal requirements. The candidates will be notified about the conducting of the tests and/or interviews in a timely manner. If a candidate fails to appear for the test, they shall be considered to have withdrawn their application. The Faculty reserves the right to partially or fully annul the application process and not select any candidate, without providing specific justification.

• The deadline for submitting the applications is 30 days from the date of announcing the call for applications. Applications may be submitted via e-mail at pisarnica@medri.uniri.hr with the subject “Viši asistent za rad na HRZZ projektu na Zavodu za mikrobiologiju i parazitologiju”.
• Late and incomplete applications shall not be considered.
