The European Centre for Theoretical Studies in Nuclear Physics and Related Areas (ECT*) of FBK is recognized worldwide for its annual program of meetings, including workshops, collaboration meetings, doctoral training programs, and specialized courses. Local research activities at ECT* focus on theoretical nuclear physics and computational physics in the broadest sense. This includes related areas such as theoretical particle, astro, atomic, and condensed-matter physics, as well as quantum simulation, quantum computing, and machine learning. Currently, ECT* hosts 5 permanent researchers, 4 postdoctoral associates, the ECT* Director, 3 Ph.D. students, and 4 administrative staff members. ECT* has close ties with other FBK centers, the University of Trento, and INFN's Trento Institute for Fundamental Physics and Applications. Job Description

The successful candidates will be expected to conduct research within any of the fields of theoretical nuclear physics and computational physics. Particular attention will be given to research areas that enable collaboration with the researchers at the Centre, which include Quantum Chromodynamics, effective field theories, and quantum simulations for strongly correlated quantum systems.
