Main Missions
The candidate will actively contribute to the research project through experimental activities, including mechanical characterization, material fabrication, and reporting.


Main tasks include:

- Mechanical and vibrational characterization: Implementation of quasi-static, creep, and fatigue tests (tensile, compression, bending, shear), with instrumentation (extensometry, imaging), non-destructive testing methods, and dynamic mechanical analysis. Vibrational analysis using laser vibrometry, accelerometry, and modal analysis.

- Data acquisition and processing: Collection, analysis, and interpretation of experimental data. - Composite material fabrication: Production of bio-based composites (natural fiber reinforced thermoplastic or thermoset resins) using vacuum infusion and hot pressing. Sample preparation for mechanical testing.

- Microstructural characterization: Optical and electron microscopy, tomographic analysis.

Skills/Qualifications

  • • Master or PhD level (M.Sc., Engineering school, PhD) in mechanics, materials science, or physical measurements.
  • • Skills: Practical experience in mechanical testing and experimental measurements.
  • • Knowledge of bio-based and composite materials would be an asset.
  • • Qualities: Team spirit, rigor, autonomy, ability to document experiments and results.
  • • Previous professional experience in mechanical characterization is desirable.
