Position available within the research project entitled: “Designing new strategies for CO2 electro-reduction to CO with plasmonic photocatalysts”, project number PN-IV-P2-2.1-TE-2023-0375.


1. Performs Surface-enhanced Raman scattering measurements

2. Performs Cyclic voltammetry measurements

3. Performs Fourier-transform infrared measurements

4. Writes and contributes to the preparation of scientific studies, reports, and peer-reviewed publications

Skills/Qualifications

  • • PhD degree obtained within the last 10 years in the field of physics
  • • Master’s degree in the field of Physics, specialization Biophysics and Medical Physics
  • • Bachelor’s degree obtained in Physics, specialization in Medical Physics
  • • Fulfillment of the standards required for the position of Scientific Researcher, as stipulated in the Methodology for the Competition for Filling Vacant Teaching and Research Positions at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca (Link)
  • • Experience in plasmon-assisted catalysis

Specific Requirements

  • • At least 5 years of experience in research
  • • Minimum of 15 ISI-indexed publications, including at least 2 publications on plasmon-assisted catalysis
  • • Minimum h-index of 8 and at least 200 citations according to Web of Science (excluding self-citations)
  • • Romanian – Advanced proficiency
  • • English – Competent user
  • Fulfilling the standards provided in the Competition Methodology for filling vacant teaching and research positions in UBB - approved by Senate Decision no. 37/10.03.2025
