Scientific Area: Health Sciences

Eligibility Requirements

Only applications that cumulatively meet the following requirements will be considered:

• • Master’s degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Environmental Health, or related fields, with a final grade equal to or higher than 17/20;
• • Holders of a Master’s degree who are enrolled in non-degree awarding courses integrated into the educational project of a higher education institution, developed in association or cooperation with one or more R&D units; or submission of a signed statement of honor confirming eligibility to enroll in such a course by the start date of the contract;
• • Fluency in Portuguese and English, self-reported or certified (oral and written).

Specific Requirements

Preferred Requirements

• • Experience in participation in External Quality Assessment (EQA) programmes for diagnostic methods (microbiological, immunological, or molecular);
• • Experience in handling Risk Group 2 and 3 agents and in the preparation of reference materials;
• • Training in the field of laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases;
• • Previous participation in training courses in laboratory biosafety and biosecurity;
• • Good command of IT tools for database construction and analysis (e.g. SPSS and Excel);
• • Scientific activity, namely articles in peer-reviewed international journals or other publications and communications at scientific conferences in the scientific area of this call (first authorship and presenting authorship will be valued);
• • Scientific awards (communications and publications);
• • Strong organizational skills and results-oriented mindset.
• • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
