The proposed postdoc position within Personal_TIVA project will allow candidate to gain further experience in academic activities since he will be involved in research development and coordination and will participate in the supervision of BSc, MSc, and PhD students. These tasks will provide additional experience in communication skills, know-how sharing and research expertise with other members of the research group and collaborating institutions.

Skills/Qualifications

• • PhD degree in the field of computer science, or related fields (e.g. robotics and automation, etc.) within the last 7 years.
• • Demonstrable experience in Artificial Intelligence (publications or code development) including robotics, computer vision, natural language processing, information organization and retrieval, biomedical application and machine learning.
• • Author of at least 2 research papers in topics related to the project.
• • Knowledge on advanced control systems and optimization (please attach a description of your knowledge of the control techniques along with an indication of the publications in which they were used)
• • Advanced programming skills in Python and/or Matlab/Simulink
• • Previous experience in scientific research project participation
• • Previous experience in supervision/co-supervision of young researches/students
• • Fluent in English
• • The candidate must also meet all of the following conditions in accordance with SONATA BIS-14:

- Obtained a doctoral degree in the year of employment in the project or in the period of 7 years before January 1 of the year of employment in the project.

- Project manager was not the supervisor or auxiliary supervisor of her doctoral dissertation.

- Obtained a doctoral degree from an entity other than Wroclaw University of Science and Technology or completed at least a 10-month, continuous and documented postdoctoral internship in an entity other than Wroclaw University of Science and Technology and in a country other than the country of obtaining the doctoral degree.

- During employment no other salary as direct costs in NCN funds may be received.

- During employment, one cannot be employed on the basis of another employment contract, including from an employer based outside Poland,

- During employment will not receive pension benefits from the social security system.

Specific Requirements

Tasks according to the project description SONATA BIS-14 Personal_TIVA: A Personalized Approach To An Automatic Drugs Delivery Control System In The Total Intravenous Anaesthesia Process”, nr 2024/54/E/ST7/00028 especially in:

• • Supporting the PI in conceptual development, theoretical design support, methodology evaluation and project task implementation;
• • Documentation of completed work and preparation of scientific publications
• • Active participation in results dissemination activities, both in the scientific and public communities.
• • Moreover the PostDoc is expected to support the PI in supervision of young researchers, critical analysis to research paths in context of AI techniques as well as to actively participate in outcome dissemination activities including material preparation for scientific journals and conferences.
