Main Mission :

• Deliver teaching in physical sciences within the engineering programs of the various specialties at INSA Strasbourg.
• Develop and transmit knowledge based on research achievements within initial and continuing education.
• Develop and contribute to fundamental and applied research, particularly in connection with INSA engineering specialties.
• Promote research results and contribute to dialogue between science and society.
• Train young researchers and students through and for research.
• Participate in administrative activities and pedagogical coordination within the department and the institute.

Main Teaching Activities :

The teaching activity will take place within the Department of Common Core Knowledge (SEC). The recruited person will primarily teach fundamental and cross-disciplinary physics courses across the different INSA engineering specialties, at Bachelor level (L1 to L3).

They may also be required to teach physics courses specific to certain specialties, including some at Master level.

The recruited person will deliver lectures, practical laboratory sessions (TP), and tutorial sessions (TD) for the equivalent of 192 teaching hours (TD equivalent).

They will also participate, together with the teaching team, in the overall organization of physics teaching (teaching and assessment methods) and in curriculum development (design of new laboratory work, integration of topics related to energy and environmental challenges, for example).

Main Research Activities :

Research activities will be conducted within the ICube laboratory (UMR 7357 – Engineering, Computer Science and Imaging Sciences Laboratory).

Research will be integrated into the IPP team (Instrumentation and Photonic Processes) within the Solid-State Electronics, Systems & Photonics Department (D-ESSP), with a project related to the “laser processes” theme, particularly focusing on the physics and applications of ultrafast lasers.

The candidate may benefit from the facilities of the Labcom LaserSurf, a joint laboratory between INSA Strasbourg and IREPA LASER.

Strong knowledge of materials physics will be appreciated.

The candidate will also be involved in laboratory activities, including integration of PhD students, administrative responsibilities, and promotion of research visibility.

An interest in cross-border issues would be an asset.
