A call is open for the allocation of 1 (one) research fellowship for PhD (BIPD), within the Research Project entitled VITAL: Valorização de Recursos Endógenos pela Inovação e Tecnologias Digitais para a Sustentabilidade, funded by Regional Programme for the Centre – Centro2030, taking place at LabCom-Communication Laboratory, University of Beira Interior, under the following conditions:

Research Field:

Communication Sciences and related fields.

Objectives:

The objective of this project is to develop audiovisual content for a model of immersive data representation and visualization on different devices.

Work plan:

The work plan for the research grant was designed to support the project's research activities, namely:

i) Image capture and editing

ii) Audio capture and editing

iii) Production of immersive multimedia content (360º)

iv) Scientific production in the field

v) Dissemination of results.

Research Fellowship Holder Statute, approved by Law No. 40/2004, of 18 August, in its current wording (amended by Decree-Law No. 123/2019, of 28 August); Regulation for Research Studentships and Fellowships of the Foundation for Science and Technology (Regulation No. 950/2019) published in the Diário da República, 2nd series, No. 241, 16 December 2019; Regulation for Research Fellowships of the University of Beira Interior - RBIUBI (Regulation No. 100/2020) published in the Diário da República, 2nd series, n.º 27, 7 February 2020.

Work location:

The work will be developed at LabCom-Communication Laboratory, University of Beira Interior, under the scientific supervision of Doctor João Canavilhas (jc@ubi.pt).

Fellowship duration and conditions:

The fellowship will last for 12 months, starting in April 2026. The activity will be carried out on a full-time basis, in accordance with RBIUBI. The fellowship contract may be renewed for periods of 12 months, up to a maximum of 24 months.

. Certificate of completion of the previous degree;

. Declaration of honour from the candidate stating, for the type of scholarship BIPD, that he/she meets the conditions for being award the fellowship according to Article 7 of the RBIUBI.

Publication/notification of results:

The partial and final results of the evaluation process will be published in a sorted list, by the final classification obtained, and posted in a visible and public place of the Department of Physics of the University of Beira Interior. The candidate(s) will be notified of the decision by e-mail. Invitations to the interview will be sent to candidates by email at least 48 hours in advance.
