To strengthen our research team, we are opening a Postdoctoral Research Position at the Department of Plant Diversity and Evolution of the Institute of Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Průhonice. We are looking for a colleague (M/F) interested in diploid and polyploid plants.


Skills/Qualifications

  • • Ph.D. or equivalent in botany (or equivalent experience)
  • • experience with plant experiments
  • • experience with fieldwork
  • • field experience with data collection in flora or vegetation
  • • ability to work independently in the field and reliably follow protocols
  • • experience with sample handling and basic laboratory workflows 
  • • strong data skills: digitization, quality control, and working with structured datasets
  • • competence in MS Excel and Access for statistical analyses and reporting
  • • teamwork and communication skills; ability to collaborate in English
  • • careful, responsible approach to equipment and data integrity
