 to recruit a project researcher for a fixed term and on a part-time basis, to work on Action 5 of the following project: Implementation of top research within the Scientific Center of Excellence for Quantum and Complex Systems, and Representations of Lie Algebras, at the Department of Mathematics, the PMF – 1 person.

This Call is open to persons of both sexes under the same conditions. The gender-specific terms used in this Call, regardless of whether they are used for male or female gender, should be construed to equally cover both male and female genders.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

In addition to the general conditions of employment laid down by law, the applicants must also fulfil the following condition:

• • To have completed a doctoral degree in natural sciences, the field of mathematics.

Additional condition:

• • Work experience related to the representation theory of Lie groups and algebras, demonstrated by attaching a list of published papers. 

The applicants who qualify for employment preference under the special regulations should refer to the preference in their application and enclose therewith all evidence as listed in the special regulations governing the priority placement rights, as well as all evidence of eligibility and of absence of any impediment to their exercising of the priority placement rights as stipulated under the special regulations. Such applicants will be given employment preference within this Call over other candidates, under the same terms and conditions of the Call, based on a duly completed, complete and timely application, provided they meet all the terms and conditions of the Call and achieve top results in the selection procedures.

The applicants must enclose the following with their application: 

• • curriculum vitae (CV);proof of academic qualifications;proof of nationality (a copy of a certificate of nationality or an ID);list of published papers. 

An application shall be deemed duly completed if it contains all the data and the supporting documents in keeping with the Call requirements. Incomplete, disorganised, and late applications shall not be taken into consideration, and there will be no subsequent invitation to the applicants to amend such applications.

APPLICANT ASSESSMENT PROCEDURE:

Eligible applicants who satisfy all the formal conditions of this Call may be invited to take part in an interview as part of the selection procedure.

If invited to take part in the interview, the applicants will receive a special email invitation with the details regarding the time and the place of the interview.

Any applicant who fails to attend a selection procedure at the time and the place as specified in the special invitation, shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Call proceedings.

The PMF collects and processes applicants’ personal data with the aim of verifying their qualifications and eligibility, in accordance with the Decision on the collection, protection and processing of personal data (Class: 035-01/18-01/5; File No:251-58-10201-18-2).

The deadline for submission of applications is 8 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia (“Narodne Novine”).

The results of the Call will be published on the official website of the PMF: www.pmf.unizg.hr (Calls for Applications).
