The following position will be filled at the Department of Networked and Embedded Systems at the Faculty of Technical Sciences with starting date of January 1, 2027.

Senior Lecturer with Doctorate (all genders welcome)

Level of employment: 100 % (40 hours/week)

Minimum salary: € 70,200.20 per annum (gross); classification according to collective agreement: B1 lit. b

Contract duration: 18 months

• • Completed doctoral degree from a recognised university in the field of information and communications engineering, robotics, electrical and computer engineering, or closely related fields
• • Didactic competence and broad teaching experience at higher education institutions using established and innovative methods (e.g. digital teaching) in the relevant field
• • Experience in (co-)supervising students
• • Advanced programming skills, preferably in Python, C/C++, or Matlab; alternatively, in Java or C#
• • Experience with robotic platforms and software for robots (e.g. ROS/ROS2)
• • Fluency in German and English
• • Very good scientific communication and dissemination skills, i.e., the ability to present with clarity and rigour a technical subject

• • Good social competences and ability to work in a team
• • Experience with academic administrative duties
• • Scientific contributions like authorship in publications or collaborations in research projects in the relevant field
