RECTOR of the Jagiellonian University announces a selection procedure for the position of an ASSISTANT PROFESSOR.

 

Staff scientists are excellent scientists who love to work in research, solve problems, but do not want to become PIs or lead their own research teams. They have to be able to provide the continuity and know-how for the group, support all the scientists in the group and be the support for the PI in running the group, especially when the PI is travelling or unavailable. This position involves employment for a 3- month trial period and a 9-month fixed-term contract. 

After successful completion of this period, we will consider employment extension. Staff scientists are affiliated with specific groups, but should the group close, staff scientists are allocated to a different group.
