Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master's degree) or University Assistant (must hold a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree) for a 20-hour/week (part-time), temporary position at the Institute for Polymer Product Engineering to 02/28/2027

Job Duties:

• Participation in research, organizational and administrative tasks within the tendering organizational unit and their evaluation 
• Participation in courses in plastics technology (BSc Sustainable Plastics Technology and Circular Economy, MSc Polymer Engineering and Science) and Medical Engineering (BSc and MSc). Supervision of students as well as co-supervision of diploma and doctoral students in consultation with the management of the organizational unit 
• Independent research activities in the field of polymer engineering and science: Securing and developing your own know-how through literature and activity in the form of publications/publications, lectures and patents 
• Assist in ensuring the functionality of the organizational unit's scientific and technical equipment as well as monitoring and compliance with laboratory safety

Your Qualifications:

• Completed diploma/master's degree in polymer engineering and science or materials science or completed PhD in the same research area 
• Very good knowledge of German and English (level C1) 
• Experience in the experimental and numerical characterization of polymeric and fiber reinforced composite materials 
• Experience in simulation of endoprostheses 

What We Offer:

• On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,578.80 gross per month as a Graduate Teaching Assistant holding a Diploma/Master’s degree and € 4,752.30 gross per month as a University Assistant holding a Doctorate/Ph.D. degree (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
