For the System Behaviour Group of the Laboratory for Reactor Physics and Thermal-Hydraulics (LRT) we are looking for a

Postdoctoral Fellow for thermal-hydraulics modelling, verification, and validation (EASI-SMR project)

Your tasks
You will collaborate with European research project partners to plan and conduct thermal-hydraulics (TH) analyses for Small Modular nuclear Reactors (SMRs). This will include the development of system TH models for both Swiss and European experimental facilities, and validation of system TH codes based on new experimental data. Additionally, comparative analyses of different system TH codes will be made for SMR systems. You will participate in identifying safety knowledge gaps and in providing recommendations to address them with a focus on safety aspects of SMR modelling. You will publish and present your research results in the form of peer-reviewed articles, conference papers and technical reports.
