The project manager of the project titled 

"MagZEObone: Intelligent magnetic biomaterials based on zeolites and ZIFs in the service of mankind – multifunctional bone treatment and regeneration" 

announces an open competition 

for the POST-DOC position (assistant professor in a team of research employees)

at the Department of Building Materials Engineering and Geoengineering,

Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture,

Lublin University of Technology

Planned job starting date: April 2025

Description of tasks:

• synthesis of zeolite/chitosan/iron oxide and ZIF/chitosan/iron oxide materials 

• kinetic and adsorption studies of selected drugs on chosen materials 

• studies on the release of selected drugs from the obtained magnetic materials under the influence of a constant magnetic field 

• physicochemical characterization of the obtained materials 

• determination of drug release profiles from the magnetic biomaterial under the influence of a constant magnetic field 

• execution of other tasks, including preparation of reports and scientific publications in accordance with the project assumptions

Documents required:

• written application for the competition);

• the copy of PhD diploma or other document confirming the attainment of a scientific degree (e.g. Resolution of the Scientific Council) recognized in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
• concise biography (CV);
• list of scientific publications, participation in research projects and conferences, obtained patents, international cooperation, research internships;
• personal questionnaire of the candidate applying for the employment (see the attached pdf file);
• information from the National Criminal Register concerning offenses specified in Chapters XIX and XXV, Article 189a, and Article 207 of the Penal Code, as well as the Act of July 29, 2005, on Counteracting Drug Addiction, and in the case of individuals holding citizenship of a country other than the Republic of Poland, information from the criminal register of another country or statements referred to in Article 21(5-7) of the Act of May 13, 2016, on Counteracting the Threats of Sexual Crime and Protecting Minors;

Details of the job offer:

• Form of employment: a temporary contract, full-time, for a period of 24 months (from April 2025) as part of a research grant NCN/ SONATA 19 (2023/51/D/ST5/01665).
• Salary of 140,000.00 PLN gross per year – including employer’s costs.
• During the period of receiving salary under the employment relationship, no other salary can be received under an employment contract with another employer (this also applies to employers based outside the territory of the Republic of Poland).
• During the employment at Lublin University of Technology within the research project, no other remuneration can be received from the funds allocated for direct costs in the National Science Centre.
• Both domestic and foreign candidates can apply for the position.
