The post-doctoral researcher (60% of fulltime for 2.5 years) will be in charge of experiments, data processing and paper writing in the K-POP project. He/she will also be in charge of the coordination of physiotherapy clinics that will perform the strengthening programs.
This project aims to evaluate the effects of a pre operative strength training program (done in 18 physiotherapy clinics) in order to increase quadriceps muscle force (main outcome) done before AnteriorCruciate Ligament reconstruction.
Secondary aims will be to improve patient health status of patients, and to improve the quality of patient healthcare.
In addition, this project aims to provide more secondary outcomes (muscle volumes, muscle inhibition...) to betterunderstand the relevance ofthe pre operativestrengthening program.
This project will contribute to improve pre operative training programs and improve patient healthcare before and after surgery.

Skills/Qualifications

Physiotherapy diploma is mandatory to coordinate the strengthening program between clinics, a PhD in biomechanics related to muscle-tendon

Ultrasound for muscle-tendon measurements, measurement of muscle force using ergometers, muscle stimulation, data analysis and statistics, literature review, scientific paper writing
