Postdoctoral Position in Food Biotechnology – Ghent University Global Campus, South Korea

Full-Time Postdoctoral Researcher– Ghent University Global Campus
Departments:

KR01 – Department of Environmental Technology, Food Technology and Molecular Biotechnology, Ghent University Global Campus, Korea
LA23 – Department of Food safety and food quality, Ghent University, Belgium

Degree: Doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines: Food Science,
Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related field; which proves your knowledge in protein and bioactive peptide science.
Contract period: Initial 1-year appointment, with the possibility of a 1-year extension based on a positive performance evaluation.
Occupancy rate: 100%
Vacancy type: Postdoc researcher

Profile of the candidate:

You hold a Ph.D. in Food Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
You possess expertise and hands-on experience in protein and peptide science, supported by a strong publication record in this area.
You have practical laboratory experience in peptide science, including techniques for production and purification, enzyme kinetics, molecular docking, cell culture, bioavailability assessment, and encapsulation methods

Job Description

The position involves conducting research focused on enhancing the bioavailability of bioactive peptides using cell culture models.
You will also support your supervisor in guiding Ph.D. and master students with their research projects related to bioactive peptides.
You are expected to publish your research findings in peer-reviewed international journals and actively contribute to national and international conferences
