- work environment: The Institute for Neurosciences of Montpellier (INM) is an Inserm research unit affiliated with the University of Montpellier. It comprises 8 Inserm teams and a staff of 200 persons working on sensory-motor deficits and neurodegeneration. The Vision team of the INM is dedicated to the study of inherited retinal diseases (IRDs). The team is tightly linked to the National Reference Centre for Inherited Sensory Disorders and the Reference Medical Biology Laboratory for Neurosensorial Disorders of the Montpellier University Hospital. Our research is aimed at establishing genotype-phenotype correlations, resolving diagnostic impasses, elucidating pathophysiological processes and developing innovative therapies for IRDs.


- main mission: Using human iPSC-derived retinal organoids to understand the pathophysiology of autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa and to develop innovative treatments (gene replacement, genome editing).


- activities: cell culture (cell lines, iPSCs, organoids), nucleofection, FACS, molecular and cellular biology, imaging analyses, data analysis, data reporting, presentations of results
