Post-doctoral researcher to develop research and technical coordination tasks within the Soil&WineResidues project (Interreg Sudoe)

The person who wins the contract will:

- Develop the tasks derived from the research assigned to the UAB composting research group within the framework of the aforementioned project. These tasks basically consist of the development at laboratory and semi-pilot level of solid-state fermentation processes for the valorisation of vineyard and winemaking waste as well as carrying out bibliographic searches in this field.
- Develop technical coordination tasks between entities participating in the aforementioned project directly related to the processes that
will be developed in the laboratory.
- Actively collaborate in the writing of reports that summarise the results obtained.
- Attend online and face-to-face meetings (to the extent possible) that will periodically take place as established in the project report.
- Develop research tasks within the composting research group on topics related to biodegradability and waste valorisation.

Job position requirements (skills/languages/required experience)

- Doctorate in Environmental Science and Technology
- Microsoft Office applications, especially excel proficiency
- Spanish level B1 or higher
- More than 3 years of experience in an environmental laboratory and, specifically, organic waste and biological processes, especially solid-state fermentation at laboratory and pilot level.
- More than 3 years of experience in performing respirometry analyses of different waste and materials.
- Experience in analysing the data obtained in the previous processes.

Additional skills:

- Proficiency in scientific-technical writing both at the technical report and scientific publication level.
- Knowledge of the different applications in use at the UAB related to laboratory tasks and others.
