PID2022-141627NB-I00: A MODEL FOR LESS IS MORE: development of Oikopleura dioica as an evolutionary knockout model to study the impact of gene loss on the evolution of gene networks (LessIsMoreModel)

The postdoctoral researcher will carry out scientific experiments in the organism Oikopleura dioica with the aim of understanding heart development. The tasks will include genetic manipulation of this organism in the laboratory, as well as collection of these animals from the sea and their culture in the laboratory. One of the key responsibilities of this position will be to develop genetic manipulation techniques of the knockdown type.
