Objectives

The primary objective of this grant is to foster advanced training and the development of professional skills in the field of Library and Information Science, aligning practical experience with the institutional needs of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST). It aims to promote the active involvement of the grantee in projects that drive innovation in information services, particularly in the management of digital resources, the implementation of Open Science policies, and the promotion of cultural initiatives.

Work Plan

• Assist in the identification, evaluation and dissemination of digital resources within databases and library information systems like Koha (version 16.11) and platforms like Sistema Integrado de Informação Científica da ULisboa; • Contribute to open science initiatives, including repository administration, scientific data management and the implementation of open access policies, with particular emphasis on the institutional repository; • Implement practices for the processing, description and curation of information in multiple formats, with a focus on handling digital content and metadata; • Manage and promote content in Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 environments, fostering information presence and online interaction; • Video production and editing; • Develop cultural activities such as exhibitions, seminars, clubs, workshops and contests, as well as, curate and promote cultural initiatives both internal and external to Instituto Superior Técnico (IST).

Duration: 12 months
