Mechanisms of fast acting antidepressant response with serotoninergic psychedelics

The Jeanneteau lab (https://jeanneteau-lab.cnrs.fr/) is looking for postdoctoral fellows to join the very dynamic research environment of the Institute of functional Genomics in Montpellier (https://www.igf.cnrs.fr/en/homepage/). We study the adaptative mechanisms of neural circuits involved in the vulnerability to depression and resistance to treatment. The ANR funded research program MAGICHALL will lay the foundation for exploring cellular pharmacology and neural networks underlying fast and lasting antidepressant response. We will use transgenic mice to identify the cells that respond to psychedelic and non-psychedelic serotoninergic drugs, cell sorting and proteomic to identify their content, photometry to study activity patterns and chemogenetics to determine their functions in mouse models of depressive-like phenotype. This is a collaborative project with Prof. Alain Gardier lab at the University of Paris-Saclay and Prof. Carine Becamel at the University of Montpellier.
