The Desbrest Institute of Epidemiology and Public Health (IDESP, Inserm/University of Montpellier) is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to conduct epidemiological research on digital usage, exposure to radiofrequencies, and sleep in adolescents and young adults.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Bernard, an Inserm research fellow at IDESP, who leads research on the effects of screens and digital usage on the development and health of children and adolescents.

The recruited individual will dedicate their research to the ExpoNum project, funded by ANSES for a duration of three years (2026–2028). The project will be conducted in close collaboration with the OPPaLE team at the Center for Research in Epidemiology and Statistics (CRESS, Inserm/Université Paris Cité, Paris).

The ExpoNum project aims to characterize co-exposure to radiofrequencies and the digital exposome, and to examine their respective roles in sleep disorders among young adults aged 18–21. It will draw on longitudinal data from the EDEN study, an epidemiological cohort that has followed young adults since birth, as well as their parents.
