The Tumor-Stroma Communication Laboratory offers a postdoctoral researcher position to work on a project to functionalize lipid nanoparticles for the targeted inhibition of signaling pathways in specific cell lines.

The project includes:

• Design and validation of lipid nanoparticles conjugated with antibodies and loaded with specific inhibitors.
• In vitro studies to evaluate the specific inhibition of different pathways in endothelial cells and tumor cells.
• In vivo experiments in mouse models of cancer (solid tumours and peritoneal carcinomatosis) to evaluate therapeutic efficacy and toxicity.
• Tumor immunophenotype analysis by flow cytometry and RNAseq.
• Writing and presentation of results in scientific articles and conferences.
• Participation in the preparation of the patent derived from the project.

The selected person will work closely with the Principal Investigator and supervise technical staff if necessary.

Basic requirements of the position:

• Qualifications required: The candidate must have a PhD related to Biomedicine or Health Sciences obtained someday between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025.
• High level of spoken and written English.

Experience required:

• Experience in cancer research, previous experience in murine models of cancer would be an asset.
• Extensive knowledge of biochemistry. Experience in obtaining and modifying extracellular vesicles is required.
• Experience in project management would be an asset.
• Previous experience in the development of advanced therapies would be an asset.
• Course work with experimental animals (category C or higher).
