VHIR offers a vacant position for a postdoctoral researcher in Rare Respiratory Diseases within the Paediatric Pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis Unit (Growth and Development Research Group).

Main responsibilities and duties:

• • Coordinate and manage a research project on pulmonary function in patients with cystic fibrosis and primary ciliary dyskinesia using lung clearance index techniques.
• • Collaborate in the analysis of diagnostic tests for primary ciliary dyskinesia and in the establishment of cell cultures for the development of new therapies.

Skills/Qualifications

Education and qualifications:

Required:

• • Degree in Paediatrics
• • Certified training in paediatric pulmonology
• • PhD in rare respiratory diseases
• • Specialised training in cystic fibrosis and primary ciliary dyskinesia
• • Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

• • At least 10 years of experience working in cystic fibrosis and primary ciliary dyskinesia.
• • Knowledge in performing cell cultures and high-speed video microscopy analysis.

Labour conditions:

• • Full-time position: 37.5h/week.
• • Starting date: July 2026.
• • Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale.
