Position description: Research position. The person employed as a research assistant professor (post‑doc) will carry out tasks related to the project focused on studies of light‑chain (AL) amyloidosis and associated pathological conditions.

Skills/Qualifications

Responsibilities:

The person in this position will be responsible for conducting scientific research, including:

• • use of molecular biology techniques,
• • protein construct preparation, expression and purification,
• • bioconjugation to obtain probes and other potentially useful antibody– or peptide–drug conjugates,
• • work with cell lines,
• • literature studies,
• • preparation of scientific publications,
• • participation in group meetings,
• • reporting research progress.

Specific Requirements

1. • PhD degree in biotechnology, biology, or a related discipline.
2. • Very good command of English and excellent communication skills.
3. • Experience in protein work (construct preparation, prokaryotic or eukaryotic expression systems, protein purification using AKTA or NGC systems).
4. • Knowledge of bioconjugation techniques for attaching small molecules to proteins will be an additional asset.
5. • The ability to work with cell lines (including macrophages) will be an additional asset.
6. • Experience in manuscript writing will be an additional advantage.
7. • High personal culture and strong work ethic.
