Candidates applying for the advertised academic position should demonstrate strong motivation for academic work, the ability to work in a team, independence, responsibility and commitment to the implementation of planned tasks.

In particular, candidates should:

• • hold a title or degree in the field/discipline (or a related field),
• • have at least 5 years of research experience,
• • have knowledge and experience in planning and conducting research in the field of glycobiology and molecular biology;
• • have knowledge and experience in the application of, for example, methods, programmes, analyses, etc.;
• • demonstrate active participation in scientific life, documented by the presentation of the results of their own research in scientific publications, including at least 2 original publications with IF in which the candidate is the first/equivalent to the first/last author, published within 5 years prior to submitting the application in the competition;
• • document active participation in scientific projects as a contractor/project manager;
• • demonstrate participation in mentoring junior scientific staff;
• • document scientific internships or work in more than one scientific/research unit;
• • present ongoing, documented scientific collaborations;
• • document management of a team conducting scientific research;
• • demonstrate active participation in the popularisation of science;
• • be proficient in spoken and written English;
• • other (e.g. specialist certificates).
