Skills/Qualifications

• 1) a doctoral degree in a discipline within the fields of Natural sciences or Engineering and technology,
• 2) scientific achievements in the discipline of Physical sciences,
• 3) active participation in conferences and symposia,
• 4) organizational achievements,
• 5) experience in teaching physics or computer science,
• 6) experience in conducting academic courses,
• 7) command of English at least at the B2 level,
• 8) command of Polish at the C1 level, if it is not the applicant’s native language.

Additional requirements:

• 1) The following documented scientific competencies will be considered an asset, in particular:
  • a) knowledge of detection systems used in modern high-energy physics experiments, including sensors and / or readout electronics or
  • b) experience in mathematical/computational modeling or advanced data analysis in one of the following areas: medical physics, environmental physics, statistical physics, solid-state physics or modern high-energy physics experiments or
  • c) experience in Monte Carlo simulations in interdisciplinary problems.
• 2) An asset will also be experience and/or readiness to teach specialized courses in Polish and English in the following areas:
  • a) thermodynamics, statistical physics and quantum mechanics or
  • b) fundamentals of computer science, programming languages, the Linux operating system and C++ or
  • c) data analysis and artificial intelligence or
  • d) medical physics or environmental physics (e.g., environmental transport phenomena)
• 3) an asset will be a completed postdoctoral fellowship or postdoctoral fellowships with a total duration of no less than 12 months
• 4) an asset will be experience in obtaining research funding from institutions outside the applicant’s employing unit.
