• The Institute of Hydraulic Fluid Machinery engages in basic research, analysis and optimisation of hydraulic systems and complete plants consisting of Hydraulic machines, shut-off devices and piping and related components.
We are one of the leading academic research institutions for hydraulic fluid machinery and systems. To fulfill our research tasks a laboratory with a powerful 4-quadrant model test rig as well as a comprehensive equipment with numerical tools are available. Thus we achieve practice-relevant and application-oriented results of our research that flow into the education of future competent experts.

Job description
• Senior Scientist - Executive position in research laboratory for hydraulic fluid machinery
• Technical guidance and supervision of research assistants in the hydraulic laboratory
• Development, applying for, and execution of funded and industrial research projects in the field of hydraulic fluid machinery
• Independent teaching in the field of hydraulic laboratory measurements and, if applicable, other subjects in line with qualifications
• Supervision and assessment of students and theses, as well as conducting examinations
• Further development of laboratory equipment in terms of hardware and software, as well as supervision of special software and test benches
• Publication of scientific results in renowned journals
• Participation in administrative and organizational tasks, as well as assumption of internal institute functions

Qualifications
• Relevant PhD
• At least three years professional experience in a research-related environment
• Very good German & English language skills

Desired Qualification
• Experiences in administration, realisation and supervision of funded research projects
• Pedagogic qualification and experiences in academic teaching and students support
• Knowledge in special software service
• Experience and knowledge of methods in the research field of hydraulic fluidmachinery
• Management skills and experiences in hydraulic fluidmachinery model measurements advantageous
• Willingness to contribute to the development of research and teaching at the Institute
• Willingness to undertake further training, particularly to attend courses offered by TU Graz
