Company Description:
• Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw
• Project: PolArt – Polariton Neuromorphic Accelerator, EIC Pathfinder Open programme funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC)
• Goal: Develop hardware AI circuits based on polariton neural networks as optical accelerators for neuromorphic computing
• Technology: Exciton–polaritons in perovskite materials enabling compact, energy-efficient local data processing

Job Description:
• Position: Assistant Professor (Postdoctoral Researcher)
• Activities:
  - Conduct experimental studies of nonlinear optical phenomena in strong light–matter coupling regime
  - Design and test new waveguide-based perovskite structures
  - Explore spin–orbit coupling (SOC) effects
  - Prepare and operate optical setups, perform spectroscopy measurements, analyze data, publish results
  - Collaborate with international partners, contribute to project reports and deliverables
  - Support supervision of students in laboratory work
• Candidates must conform to Article 113 of the Higher Education Law dated 20.07.2018 (Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland 2024, item 1571)

Skills/Qualifications:
• PhD in physical sciences or related field (optics, photonics, condensed matter physics, semiconductor materials)
• Experience in experimental research in optics and solid-state spectroscopy (photoluminescence, reflectance, ps/fs/cw lasers)
• Knowledge of semiconductor physics, nonlinear optics, strong light–matter coupling
• Experience with experimental setups, including fs/ps/cw lasers, cryogenic techniques, optical microscopy
• Programming skills in at least two languages for data analysis (Python, Matlab, LabVIEW, or equivalent)
• Documented scientific achievements relevant to project (publications in JCR-listed journals)
• Good command of English (reading, writing, communication)
• International experience, teamwork skills, independence, strong research motivation
• Specific experience:
  - Perovskite materials, thin-film structures, photonic microstructures
  - Participation in national/international research projects
  - Numerical modeling/simulations (COMSOL, FDTD Solutions, PLaSK or equivalent)
  - Optical characterization of nonlinear or polaritonic materials
  - Active participation in scientific conferences
  - Interest in neuromorphic photonics, quantum optics, polariton-based devices
  - Ability to work in interdisciplinary environment (physics, chemistry, materials engineering)
