Skills/Qualifications

• • PhD degree in the discipline of Earth and Environmental Sciences, obtained no later than 5 years prior to the commencement of employment;
• • At least 5 years of experience in scientific research related to the discipline;
• • Publications in reputable scientific journals (minimum H-index of 6);
• • Documented experience in commercial research activities within the field of Earth and Environmental Sciences;
• • Knowledge of research methods and techniques used in geology, hydrography, and marine geomorphology, with the ability to analyze and interpret data from geophysical measurements;
• • Proficiency in the use of QPS, Surfer, Grapher, ArcGIS, and other analytical software tools;
• • Ability to prepare scientific and technical reports;
• • Advanced proficiency in English, confirmed by a certificate at B2 level or higher;
• • Ability to work effectively in a team and to manage a research team;
• • Ability to communicate effectively with representatives of the commercial sector and scientific institutions;
• • Ability to deliver scientific presentations and public talks.

Specific Requirements

• • Proficient command of the Polish language, both spoken and written;
• • Completed postgraduate studies in project management;
• • Experience in scientific research cruises and in the acquisition of marine environmental data (valid STCW certificates).
