Specific Requirements

The person should meet the following conditions:

• hold the title of professor in a discipline related to: agricultural sciences, earth sciences, or related fields in the area or specialty of soil science;

• have recognized scientific achievements, confirmed by international publications;

• have research experience related to tropical and/or subtropical areas, in particular:

- a/ conducting field research or scientific projects in this climate zone,

- b/ knowledge of soil issues, soil degradation, water management, or agriculture in tropical conditions;

• have a command of English sufficient to conduct classes and publish scientific papers;

• have a command or very good knowledge of Spanish (spoken and written);

• be willing to actively seek funding for scientific research, in particular within the framework of international programs (e.g., Horizon Europe, bilateral projects, development programs);

• lead or participate in:

- a/ research projects (national and/or international),

- b/ research teams;

• activities in the scientific community: reviews, scientific councils, committees, journal editorial boards, etc.
