The selection procedure is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University:

• • holding at least a doctoral degree;
• • having relevant scientific achievements;
• • taking active part in scientific life.

Specific Requirements

Fulfilment of the requirements specified in the Regulations on awarding funding for the implementation of research tasks funded by the National Science Centre as regards research projects.

• • According to the regulations of the SONATA BIS 9 competition, this position can be filled by a person who has obtained their PhD degree within 7 years before joining the project. This period may be extended by documented sick leaves, rehabilitation leaves, or childcare leaves/childbirth as specified in the regulations;
• • They will not be a person for whom the project’s principal investigator has acted as their Ph.D. advisor, or auxiliary advisor;
• • Over the last two years preceding employment in the project they were not employed, pursuant to an employment contract, at the entity acting as the host institution for the research project.

Institutional Social Benefits Fund:

• • co-financing of summer holidays (PLN 1,050 – PLN 1,550 gross) and winter holidays (PLN 700 – PLN 900 gross);
• • co-financing for children for organised holidays (PLN 900–1400), or other individually purchased youth stays (50%–90%, max PLN 2,500 gross) per child;
• • cash equivalent for a special occasional package of sweets in the amount of PLN 100 – PLN 300 gross per child;
• • co-financing of childcare in nurseries, kindergartens and other forms of preschool education (PLN 250–400 gross).

Remuneration:

• • basic remuneration in the amount/range of 7300 - 7608 PLN gross;
• • basic remuneration depends on the amount of the seniority allowance (1% per year starting from the 4th year, up to 20%).

Eligibility criteria

• 1. resume;
• 2. personal questionnaire filled in by the candidate (F/M);
• 3. copy of the doctoral diploma or a diploma confirming the candidate’s (F/M) habilitation degree, if applicable;
• 4. information on the candidate’s scientific, research interests and plans for future research;
• 5. declaration of the candidate, confirming that the Jagiellonian University will be their primary place of work;
• 6. statement under Article 113 of the Law on higher education and science;
• 7. statement on acknowledging and accepting the rules and regulations concerning intellectual property management;
• 8. list of publications and/or dissertation in surface dynamics;
• 9. doctoral dissertation or habilitation dissertation review, if applicable.
