Artemisa is an International Chair in Cybersecurity. The main purpose of the ARTEMISA is to provide society with the necessary tools to understand and face the security challenges that arise in the digital environment, considering a multidisciplinary approach and emphasizing the importance of regulation and legislation in this area.

Strengthening collaboration between the university and the business network is another of the objectives of the chair. In addition, ARTEMISA emphasizes the importance of encouraging the active participation and empowerment of women in this field, with the aim of contributing to closing the gender gap and promoting diversity and inclusion in cybersecurity.
There is an educational branch of Artemisa’s Chair that gives support for transferring knowledge. It includes many actions, among them, the creation of innovative material for the students of subjects related with Cybersecurity in the University.

This material must include:

• Organization and execution of a Hackathon for the Cryptography and Security course, fostering the application of theoretical concepts to practical, real-world challenges.
• Comprehensive lecture notes for the Blockchain Technologies course at UPF. These notes must cover the theoretical fundamentals of blockchain technologies, including cryptographic primitives and consensus algorithms, while emphasizing real-world applications and use cases.
• Introductory materials on the Solidity programming language, focusing on smart contract development.
• Practical examples and exercises designed to deepen the understanding of distributed systems, decentralized applications (DApps), and their practical implementation.
• Hands-on laboratory guidelines and assignments for student practice.
• Audiovisual material to support and illustrate the theoretical concepts.
