The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, as amended) and meet the following qualification criteria:
1) a postdoctoral degree in technical computer science and telecommunications,
2) documented academic achievements in technical computer science and telecommunications,
3) experience in teaching in the field of computer networks, system and network security, cybersecurity of IT systems, and security of cloud systems and services,
4) the ability to work effectively in a team,
5) willingness to actively develop the university's research and teaching activities,
6) command of English sufficient to conduct teaching and research activities (at least B2+, confirmed by an appropriate certificate),
7) hold/is in the process of obtaining teaching qualifications or have documented practical experience outside of higher education,
8) declaration of primary place of employment at the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz.


Skills/Qualifications

  • In the case of a foreign candidate, fluency in spoken and written Polish is required (at least B2+, confirmed by an appropriate certificate).
  • Employment of an academic teacher in the research and teaching staff group, based on a fixed-term, full-time employment contract, in the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year (from March 2, 2026 to September 30, 2026).

Specific Requirements

  • Responsibilities:
  • • Teaching 98 hours of full-time and part-time studies in the summer semester of the 2025/2026 academic year,
  • • Teaching classes in the areas of computer networks, system and network security, cybersecurity of IT systems, and security of cloud systems and services,
  • • Conducting and actively participating in scientific research and development work, carried out in accordance with the principles of research ethics,
  • • Participating in the organizational and development work of the Faculty and the University,
  • • Providing substantive supervision of students' theses,
  • • Organizational work for the University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz, in especially promotional ones at the Faculty of Engineering Sciences.
