Assistant professor in a group of research and teaching


Eligibility criteria

  1. 1) doctoral degree in Computer Science or information and communication technology,

  2. 2) experience in teaching,

  3. 3) experience in machine learning, deep learning, particularly in the application of biomedical data processing,

  4. 4) experience in processing medical data for diagnostic purposes, including diagnostic imaging data,

  5. 5) experience in publishing and implementing scientific and development projects,

  6. 6) organizational achievements and active participation in conferences and symposia,

  7. 7) willingness to teach classes in English,

  8. 8) knowledge of English at least at the B-2 level,

  9. 9) knowledge of Polish.


Additional requirements:

1). Experience in social activities,

2). Experience in commercial work, an MBA degree will be an additional advantage.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

1)   application form, CV, personal questionnaire,

2)    document confirming language proficiency at least at B-2 level,

3)    copies of diplomas and other certificates confirming qualifications,

4)   list of scientific achievements (list of publications: books, articles, papers published in conference materials, list of research studies and practical applications, patents)

5)    list of organizational achievements (list of past and present positions held, at the university and outside the university),

6)   description of teaching experience,

7)    list of achievements in the implementation of research projects.

The recruitment procedure is divided into two stages:

  1. 1. formal assessment – assessment of the completeness of the application documents and compliance with the requirements specified in the Act, the AGH University Statute, and the competition announcement,
  2. 2. substantive assessment – an objective and merit-based assessment of applications submitted by candidates who have successfully passed the previous stage; interviews with candidates may be conducted at this stage (either in person or remotely).


The candidate has the right to appeal against the competition results within 5 working days after receiving the notification.

The University reserves the right not to settle the competition without providing any reason or justification. Winning the competition is not tantamount to ensuring the candidate's employment. The result of the competition serves solely as a recommendation to the Rector in this regard. The final decision concerning the employment will be made by the Rector.

After the announcement of the competition results, the selected candidate is required to provide a certificate from the National Criminal Register (the certificate must be current, i.e. issued no earlier than 1 month prior to its submission to the AGH University) and is subject to verification in the Register of Sex Offenders – Restricted Access Register.
