The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily on the project "New factorisation schemes for precision LHC phenomenology" funded by the National Science Centre, Poland lead by Aleksander Kusina (Institute of Nuclear Physics) and Andrzej Siódmok (Jagiellonian University). That included e.g. performing theory calculations needed for a definition of alternative factorization schemes and implementing them in numerical codes.

Skills/Qualifications

  • - experience in particle physics phenomenology
  • - programming in C++ and/or Python
  • - fluent knowledge of English language

Welcome:

  • • experience in Monte Carlo methods and statistical modeling
  • • experience in QCD phenomenology
  • • experience in perturbative calculations especially resummation
