The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Rijeka seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Researcher.

The position of a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Psychology involves active engagement in field-specific research in educational psychology. The successful applicant should have demonstrable experience in designing, organising and conducting research and presenting research results. The candidate is expected to be proficient in the use of statistical data analysis software and to have experience in implementing multimethod approaches and process-oriented methodology.

As this position also involves teaching in the domain of educational psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels, at least five years of teaching experience at the university level is required.

Additional experience in the broader field of school and educational psychology is considered desirable.

Skills/Qualifications

Applicants must meet the requirements of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Zakon o visokom obrazovanju i znanstvenoj djelatnosti, Official Gazette No. **119/22) and other legal acts that are based on it and are required to submit evidence of this.

Specific Requirements

Applicants are required to submit the following documents:

• • a self-signed application,
• • a CV,
• • a copy of an identification document,
• • a copy of the PhD degree certificate (if issued by a university outside Croatia, a certified translation into Croatian and proof of the degree’s recognition for its recognition issued by the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education),
• • a report on previous scientific, teaching and professional activities with evidence,
• • a list of publications,
• • copies of the relevant publications,
• • candidates who are not Croatian native speakers must submit proof of proficiency in the Croatian language at the advanced level.

The following will be considered an advantage:

• • active participation in research in the field of educational psychology, as evidenced by published papers and participation in scientific and professional conferences,
• • involvement in research projects,
• • teaching experience at the university level,
• • professional development in teaching and research.
