- work environment: The successful candidate will work within the Premedical research team (Inria–Inserm) with the IDESP. The position is part of the MESSIDORE 2025 funded project focused on improving AI-based prediction of allergy diagnosis and severity using multiplex specific IgE data. The work will take place in a multidisciplinary environment at the interface of biostatistics, machine learning, and clinical research, with strong interactions between data scientists, clinicians, and epidemiologists.

- main mission: The main mission of the candidate will be to design, evaluate, and compare classical and innovative methods for handling missing data in complex health datasets, within the framework of Work Package 1 of the project. The goal is to improve the robustness and performance of AI algorithms used for allergy diagnosis and severity prediction.

- activities: 

• • Review and implement state-of-the-art methods for missing data handling (e.g., imputation, model-based approaches, machine learning techniques)
• • Develop and compare innovative methodological approaches tailored to IgE datasets
• • Perform statistical analyses and contribute to the development of predictive models
• • Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to ensure methodological relevance and data interpretation
• • Contribute to scientific publications and project reports
• • Participate in project meetings and interdisciplinary exchanges

• • Strong background in biostatistics, statistics, or data science (PhD required)
• • Proven experience in handling missing data
• • Good knowledge of statistical software (R, Python)
• • Experience in machine learning applied to health data is a plus
• • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment
• • Strong scientific writing and communication skills in English
