Oral cancer interception using a nanoparticle-guided imaging strategy

Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is frequently preceded by oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMD). The project aims to develop an innovative biomarker-guided imaging strategy based on molecularly imprinted polymer. Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) are synthetic materials engineered to contain specific recognition cavities complementary to a target epitope. They mimic antibody-like selectivity while offering key advantages:

• • High chemical and thermal stability
• • Low production cost compared to antibodies
• • Reusability of template (epitope) during synthesis
• • Reduced immunogenicity
• • Compatibility with nanoparticle engineering

The recruited postdoctoral researcher will play a central role in evaluating the targeting specificity, biodistribution and imaging efficacy of these nanoparticles.
The project aims to develop molecularly imprinted nanoparticles to monitor the risk of oral cancer in oral potentially malignant disorders.

Mission : This post allows a talented, driven and motivated scientist to develop an exciting project aimed at developing novel MIPs for imaging. Standing at the crossroads of chemistry and medicine, this project offers a strong multidisciplinary character.

• • PhD in Biology, Nanomedicine, Biomaterials, Polymer Chemistry or related field
• • Strong experience in cell culture and molecular biology
• • Knowledge of nanoparticles and/or magnetic nanomaterials
• • Autonomy, rigor, ability to work in multidisciplinary environment
• • Animal experimentation certification (or willingness to obtain it)
