1. Research project or operation

The successful candidate will join the CRBS within the ANR-funded ANDROMETAMUS project, aiming to characterize the molecular mechanisms by which the AR/ERRα/PGC-1α complex regulates skeletal muscle energy metabolism and adaptation to metabolic stress. The project combines genetically modified mouse models, molecular and cellular biology, nutritional interventions (Western and ketogenic diets), exercise physiology and mitochondrial function to identify novel therapeutic targets in metabolic diseases.

1. Activities

Description of the research activities : The postdoctoral fellow will work under the scientific supervision of Dr. Joffrey ZOLL.

Main duties include:
• Experimental research on skeletal muscle metabolism.

• Transgenic mouse experimentation.

• Skeletal muscle cell culture and differentiation.• Molecular biology (RNA/DNA extraction, RT-qPCR, Western blot, co-IP, immunofluorescence).

• Cell biology and biochemical analyses.

• Histology and mitochondrial physiology.

• Statistical analyses and data interpretation.

• Manuscript writing and conference presentations.

• Supervision of Master and PhD students.

Related activities :• Participation in laboratory and consortium meetings.

• Contribution to collaborative research projects.

• Participation in grant writing and dissemination.

• Teaching in Health Sciences programmes (Medicine, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Midwifery), mainly physiology, molecular biology and cell biology.

1. Environment and context of work

Presentation of the laboratory/unity : UR3072 (CRBS) conducts translational research in physiology, metabolism, nutrition and chronic diseases. The successful candidate will join the research group led by Dr. Joffrey ZOLL within the ANR-funded ANDROMETAMUS consortium and will benefit from state-of-the-art facilities in molecular biology, imaging, histology, transcriptomics, animal experimentation and mitochondrial physiology.
