The project is entitled “Opening new paths towards biomarkers of brain function” (NewPaths). The IP of the project are Dr. Jordi Vilaplana and Dr. Carme Pelegrí. The research group is formed by the 2 IP, one associate professor, one tenure-elegible lecturer and 3 PhD students. The functions of the hired candidate will be: experimental design, conducting the experiments, data analysis, processing and interpretation of the obtained data, drawing the relevant conclusions, and writing the results report or relevant publications.

The candidate must have experience in the field of biomedical research, particularly in the study of neurodegenerative diseases and their biomarkers, and the glymphatic system. 

The candidate should also be experienced in disseminating experimental results, especially through presentations at international conferences and publications in indexed scientific journals.

• • PhD in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• • Knowledge of immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence techniques in brain tissue sections and cryostat sections of CSF sediment.
• • Knowledge of chemical labeling techniques.
• • Proficiency in office software, with a solid command of Microsoft Office applications (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• • Knowledge of statistical software such as IBM SPSS.
• • High level of proficiency in Catalan and English.
